A Grand Reunion!! This Friday - January 5, 2007
Good Morning,
As you plan your week, I trust that you will be praying for our GRAND REUNION this Friday evening at Calvary Baptist here in Shreveport. Plan to get here as early as possible for some of the sweetest fellowship this side of heaven. What a great way to begin our year - 2007. Can you believe it? Our choir rehearsal is at 6 pm in the choir room -- this is a mandatory rehearsal if you want to go on choir tour. We'll have some food in the fellowship hall from 4:30 til 6 pm. Call me at 318-347-4370 for any details.
All of you non-singers - those who were in the Singles group or who have gone on mission trips with us - don't miss this sweet time. I need a hug!

The concert beginning at 7:00 in the worship center at Calvary Baptist Chruch in Sheveport (9333 Linwood Ave.) will feature the REUNION CHOIR, The Needhams from Nashville, TN (http://www.theneedhams.com), Canaanland from Stilwell, OK; and the amazing Allen Family (8 children, mother and dad - sweet music). BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Hosea 6:3
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
On this New Year’s Eve, you may be wondering what is going to happen. Years ago, some men were on a leaky old ship in the middle of a rough and stormy sea. One of them asked the captain, “Are we safe?” He said, “Well, the boilers are weak and may explode at any moment. The ship is taking on water. To be very honest with you, we may go up, or we may go down, but at any rate, we are going on.” And that’s the way we are as we face this new year. Jesus may come; we may go up. We may die, and go down and then up, but at any rate we are going on.
ACTION POINT:
Reflecting on this past year, allow the Holy Spirit to invade your heart convicting and drawing you to Himself. Ask for wisdom, courage, and faith to continue on whatever happens this next year!
