Oasis of Love!!

Ann and I are at home this week! We have been painting the porch of my office - ANDREW! It has been good to work together. If you have never traveled as a ministry, you just can't know the stress of trying to balence home with ministry!
We took quite a trip before our week at home. Our trip included one day of ministry at the West Baptist Church in Batesville, AR. I was there earlier this year in a revival and it was so good to visit friends from that meeting. My friends Ron and Glenda Taylor serve there on staff. Ron was in high school when I was at First Baptist Church - Union, MS. He is a godly worship leader and a dear friend. Glenda served us a wonderful lunch after the morning service and after a good nap we did a concert in their evening worship serice.
After the concert there was almost enough daylight left for us to drive through the mountains to the interstate on on to Stilwell, OK. We got in bed around midnight.
The next morning and through Wednesday noon, we attended the annual Bible Conference at First Baptist Stilwell. This was truly an oasis of love for Ann and I. This sweet church hosted almost 100 guests. They fed the group three wonderful meals a day - and even provided lodging for all of us. We heard some wonderful music and enjoyed the great preaching. This conference is so unusual. Pastor Roger Haney has a burden to encourage pastors and over the years has done just that. The meeting was especially sweet for us because the music leader there is also one of our young people who grew up under our ministy. Ron LaCaze and his people gave us three days of wonderful, uplifting music. Ron is a Godly young man with the gift of loving leadership. As a young man, he was one of the sweetest fellows in my youth group, but never in a million years would I have dreamed God would use him in such a great way.
After the noon meeting at FBC - Stilwell on Wednesday, Ann and I drove to Oklahoma City where I recorded 10 songs for a new project that will be entitled GOD LOVES YOU! It was a sweet experience and I look forward to sharing it with you in a few weeks. After the sessions there is still lots of work to be done. I pray that this music will have a great ministry.
Friday afternoon, we drove to Benton, AR and visited with our son and family. Jon and Amy and their three boys are moving back to Shreveport. Jon is already working in Shreveport. Pray that they can sell their house and get everyone here.
The last part of our long trip was a revival at Trinity Baptist near Decatur, AL. Our friend Dusty McLemore from Athens, AL preached and God blessed in such a precious way. Evangelist Michael Mason is a member at Trinity and Bro. Steve Caudle is the pastor. This was our third meeting at Trinity. I had the joy of having a small part in seeing two young men come to Christ. I walked out into the vestibule Monday night and just ran into a young man. I asked him "Is the your church?" He said, "I come every other week with my Mom." Then I asked him about his salvation and he told me he has been saved two days earlier at home. When I shared with him about the need to make a public confession -- he said, "I am so shy." I just encouraged him and shared with the pastor. The next night the Bro. Caudle saw him before church and he walked the aisle. Last night his younger brother was saved. There Mom was so sweet to come by and thank me for encouraging her son. It's always such a confirmation that we are where God wants us when we see things like this happen.
Sunday, we will be in revival at the Skyview Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL. Pray for us as we go, and also pray for our open dates in the fall. Check our web site for our schedule (Price Harris Ministry)
